The stars over the Well have gone out, and the towns stacked inside it have gone quiet with them.

You are Kit: a kite, a worn scarf and a pocketful of friends. Your Kin are small, round, brave companions. Throw them to light lanterns, skip them across the tide, burn through vines, freeze cold water or grow ladders up market walls. Light enough lanterns and the Sky Gate opens.

Climb down the Well

• Nine towns to relight, from the kite hills of Brimside down to Stonehold at the very bottom of the Well.
• 37 hand-built courses and Trials, each with three hidden shards and a medal time to beat.
• Glide on your kite, ride the wind and swing from rings.

Befriend, never stomp

• Wild Kin are befriended, never hurt. Each one you meet joins your journey.
• Every Kin plays differently: Tumble bounces, Ember burns, Tidepill skips, Frostcurl freezes, Mossling climbs, Sparkroll charges copper, Lampling glows, Gustling makes the wind.

Challenge the Wardens

Each town is guarded by an old stone Warden, and you face it in Lightball: carry or throw the star into its goal while your thrown Kin light lanterns that widen the goal. Every arena brings its town's tricks, and every Warden strikes with its own fear.

A cozy place to come back to

• Rebuild the town square, dress Kit and the kite, fill Lark's journal, and chase the mystery of who lifted Kit's home.
• Puzzles, a tower-defense night watch and a falling-tile kiln to unwind between courses.
• Light in everything: every lantern pours a pool of light in its Kin's color, and the music opens up as the town wakes.
• Two-player co-op on one keyboard or two controllers.
• No ads, no accounts, no data collection. Plays fully offline.

Controls

• Move: arrows or WASD / left stick or D-pad
• Jump (hold to open the kite): Space or Z / A
• Throw a Kin (hold to aim): X, J or Shift / X, B or R2
• Swap Kin: Q, E or Tab / L1, R1 or Y
• Pause: Esc or P / Menu

Mouse or touch also works. F11 or Alt+Enter toggles fullscreen in the downloads.
